India played really well under pressure and successfully chased 286 runs with fine contributions from Gambhir who hit a brilliant century and in the  end Raina hit 45 balls 65 runs and Irfan Pathan playing all rounder role. Zaheer is also bowled well with 2 for 39 runs but their spinners are struggling.

Sri Lanka after good show in the 2nd ODI and even after high score didn't get the lead and bad news is that their most experienced player Sangakkara is out of the series due to injury. Perera and Mathews playing really well with both bat and ball.

Second One day International between host Sri Lanka and India will be played on Tuesday, 24th July, 2012 at Mahinda Rajapaksa International Cricket Stadium, Sooriyawewa, Hambantota and the timing will be 09:00 GMT, 14:30 local, 14:30 IST. India leading the 5 match series by 1-0.

India comfortably won the opening match after scoring 300+ runs thanks to big innings by Sehwag and Kohliwho also hit a century. They have all the inform batsmen as Raina also hit half century. Their bowling also looking good as Irfan Pathan playing a perfect all rounder role.

Sri Lanka also fought well as they lost only by 21 runs in the chase of 311 as Sangakkara hit a brilliant century under pressure and they are very much capable of levelling the series, Perera is playing really well with both bat and ball.

Sri Lankan selectors has announced the team for the upcoming 5 match ODI series against India at home starting from 21st July. The left-arm fast bowler, Isuru Udana has been picked who has played six Twenty20s for Sri Lanka, but is yet to debut in one-dayers.

Batsman Chamara Kapugedera and left-arm spinner Rangana Herath are back in team under the captaincy of Jayawardhane.
