England duly completed an overwhelming innings-and-225-run victory over Pakistan, before lunch on the fourth day at Lord's, to take the series 3-1 but that faded into insignificance following the spot-fixing revelations which broke on Saturday evening and sent the game spiralling into another crisis.

For the record, Graeme Swann claimed his ninth five-wicket haul, and his first at Lord's, while Umar Akmal biffed a late half-century.

Even the not-out batsmen, Azhar Ali and Umar Akmal, couldn't have a quick hit before resuming their innings and the contest was never going to last very long.

England 1st Innings 446/all out; 139.2 overs (Trott 184, Broad 169, Amir 6-84)

2010 ICC Twenty World Cup England beat Srilanka 1st Semi-Final Matches win 7 wickets, with 24 balls remaining, on Thursday, 13th May, 2010, at Gros Islet. SL made 128/6 in 20 overs while Eng made 132/3 in 16 overs. man of the Match is Stuart Broad who made 2 Wicket.

Srilanka recovered from 47 for 4 after nine overs thanks to the calm accumulation of Angelo Mathews, who made 58 from 45 balls, their final total was at least 20 runs short of a competitive total.

England Kevin Pietersen marked the birth of his first son by steering England into the final of the ICC World Twenty20, as he continued his imposing run of form with an unbeaten 42 from 26 balls in a comprehensive seven-wicket victory.

England Regained Ashes by 2-1, won the 5th test by 197 runs

England regained the Ashes series by 2-1 which they lost by 5-0 in 2007 as they won 5th and final thrilling test match by 197 runs on Sunday, 23rd August, 2009 Kennington Oval, London.

England needed 10 wickets on the 4th day and got 2 early wickets as the openers gone early and then Ponting (66 runs) and Hussey put 127 runs partnership but run outs of Ponting and Clarke pushed back Australians. Michael Hussey hit his 10th test century gone in vain as he short of partners in the end.

Graem Swann was pick of the bowler in the 2nd inning with 4 wickets but the hero of the match is Stuart Broad whose 5 wicket haul in the first inning led the victory. Michael Clarke from Australia and England captain Andrw Strauss shared the Man of the Series award.

This was the last test match for England all rounder Andrew Flintoff.
