Ricky Ponting scored a brilliant century, 158 runs against West Indies on the first day of the 1st test match at Sabina Park, Kingston, Jamaica, on Thursday, 22nd May, 2008.

Australia won the toss and elected to bat first, scored 301/4 at the stumps of 1st day. Ponting in his 35th Test century, hit 17 fours and 1 six in his inning of 158 runs off 244 balls, well supported by Micheal Hussey and Brad Hodge, scored 56 and 53 not out respectively.
