Rain washed out 2nd day of the first test between England and New Zealand, at Lords, on Saturday, 17th May, 2008. England were 89 without loss.
Ryan Sidebottom took 4 wickets for 55 runs as New Zealand all out on 277 runs in 1st inning. Brandon McCulum hit run a ball 97 runs and captain Vettori contributed 48 runs
In reply England started safely and reached 89 without loss until rain interrupts the match. Alastair Cook and Andrew Strauss playing on 53 and 31 respectively.
