2nd Test 3rd day Summary:

England dominated the 3rd day also of the 2nd test match as they took a lead of 321 runs with 4 wickets in hand and still 2 days to go. They restricted Australia to 215 in the first inning with a lead of 210 runs but but didn't force follow on and then scored 311/6 with the run rate of 4.35 well contributed by Pitersen 44, Collingwood 54 and 42 balls 61 runs by Prior. They can declare their inning in the morning or can add some more runs quickly to take firm grip in the match and take 1-0 lead in the series

2nd Test 2nd day Summary:

England is on the way to take a big 1st inning lead as Australia struggling at 156/8 in the 1st inning still trail by 269 runs thanks to superb bowling by Anderson who 1st frustrated visitors with bat and then took 4 wickets for 36 runs. England bowled out on 425 runs and Strauss out on his overnight score of 161.

2nd test 1st day Summary:


England won the toss and elected to bat first started brilliantly as Cook and Strauss put 195 runs for the 1st wicket scored 95 runs and 161 not out respectively but Australia bounced back took 6 wickets but England still has the upper hand with 364/6 at the stump of day 1 and Andrew Strauss still on the crease.
