India vs Australia - Third Cricket Test Match at WACA, Perth

After much off field action, due to lot of controversies in the second test match between India and Australia at Sydney, the focus shifts back to the field. The third Test starts from today at WACA, Perth.

The battle between bat and ball is about to begin again. On the one hand is the looming pace and bounce of the WACA. On the other hand is a world famous batting order that must deliver. The time is now!

Australians are already 2-0 up in the four-Test series and will be looking to win their 17th straight Test. India will be hoping to pull one back and keep the series open going to Adelaide.

For India, Virender Sehwag and Irfan Pathan have been included in the lineup in place of Harbhajan Singh and Yuvraj Singh. Rahul Dravid will bat at number three and VVS Laxman has been pushed down to number six.

For Australia, Opening batsman Chris Rogers makes his debut, in place of injured opener Matthew Hayden. The hosts have also got Shaun Tait in the lineup in place of Brad Hogg. This is the first time in 16 years that the Aussies have fielded a four-pacer attack in a home series.

Ricky Ponting (Captain), Adam Gilchrist (WK), Chris Rogers, Phil Jaques, Michael Hussey, Michael Clarke, Andrew Symonds, Shaun Tait, Brett Lee, Mitchell Johnson, Stuart Clark.

India were 74/2 at lunch of day 1. Sehwag and Jaffer got India off to a good start before Johnson and Lee sent the openers back in quick succession. Jaffer is failed again with 16 runs and Sehwag scored 29. Tendulkar and Dravid are on the crease on 13 and 2 respectively at lunch.
