Kings XI Punjab drought for win ends with a thrilling win in the super over as Pathan took a wicket when 1 runs required and chased the 10 runs in Super over in 4 overs against Chennai Super Kings in the 16th match of 2010 Indian Premier League - IPL3, on Sunday, 21st March, 2010 at Chennai. KXIP made 136 in 20 overs and CSK scored in 20 overs.

Kings XI Punjab continues with the same old story as their main players Sangakkara, Jayawardhanea and Bopara failed again and Irfan Pathan once again played a good inning of 38 runs as Yuraj back in form with 43 runs and helped his team to a total of 136. Chennai Super Kings then put 65 runs for the 1st wicket by Hayden 33 and Parthive Patel 57 runs but in the end good bowling by Pathan who took wicket on the last bowl when score was over.
