India tops the points table of 2012 Asia Cup with a big 50 runs win over Sri Lanka in the 2nd game on Tuesday, 13th March, 2012 at Mirpur. IND made 304/3 in 50 overs and SRL all out on 254 in 45.1 overs.
India lost Tendulkar early but Gambhir 100 off 118 balls and Kohli 108 runs off 120 balls put 205 runs in 37 overs and then Dhoni 46 off 26 balls and Raina 30 off 17 balls put 63 runs in the last 5 overs which made the difference in the end.
Sri Lanka got a good start by Jayawardhane 78 off 59 balls and Sangakkara 65 runs after early wicket of Dilshan but regular wickets put them on backfoot. Ashwin took 2 wickets in the same over and turned the match as Irfan took 4 wickets.
