11th ODI of CBS- Sri Lanka 179 all out against India at Hobart


Indian captain MS Dhoni won the toss and elected to field first agianst Sri Lanka, in the 11th ODI of Commonwealth Bank Series (CBS), on Tuesday, 26th February 2008, at Hobart. Sri Lanka is all out on 179 runs in 47.1 0vers. due to some fine bowling by Praveen Kumar and Ishant Sharma took 4 wickets each.

Praveen Kumar swung the ball around in overcast conditions to snap up three wickets in as many overs to derail Sri Lanka's innings in what was a virtual knock-out clash in Hobart. Sri Lanka appeared to be in control at 1 for 72 before a manic session saw them reduced to 6 for 93 at the halfway stage, their hopes of reaching the final all but up in smoke.

For India, a very fine bowling by pacers Praveen Kumar and Ishant Sharma took 4 wickets each to help in restricting Sri Lanka on 179 runs. For Sri Lanka, only Chamara Kapugedera shown some resistant with 57 runs off 85 balls.

India made two changes bringing in Praveen Kumar and Munaf Patel in place of Virener Sehwag and Sreeshant. Sri Lanka Replaced Mahroof by Chamara Kapugedera.
