Australi Vs Sri Lanka Live Score - 3rd ODI of CB siries at Sydney(SCG)

Australia captain Ricky Ponting has won the toss and elected to bat. After two wash-outs to open the tri-series Australia and Sri Lanka are hoping for as much game-time as possible in the third match at the SCG and Ricky Ponting had the first minor victory, winning the toss and choosing to bat. Rain has drifted across Sydney in the past few days and the match was set to start in overcast conditions, with showers predicted later in the day.

Matthew Hayden is back in the Australian lineup and Brad Hogg has also been included in the playing XI. Brad Haddin and Ashley Noffke are the two to sit out. Sri Lanka have fielded an unchanged side. Sri Lanka made no changes to the team that played India.

Adam Gilchrist's record in Sydney is not quite as impressive but his performances against Sri Lanka have been special. Five of his 15 limited-overs centuries have come against them, the most recent of which was his squash-ball-assisted 149 in last year's World Cup final. Sydney spectators will hope the rain stays away long enough for the two veterans to fire.

Australia's Playing Eleven:

Ricky Ponting (Captain), Adam Gilchrist(WK), Matthew Hayden, James Hopes, Michael Clarke, Andrew Symonds, Michael Hussey, Brett Lee, Nathan Bracken, Brad Hogg, Mitchell Johnson.

Sri Lankas's Playing Eleven:

Australia were 88/2 after 20 overs. Hayden made 42 and Ponting out on 9, Gilchrist is playing on 37 with Clarke on 0.
