Australian captain Ricky Ponting won the toss and elected to bat first in the 10th ODI of Coomonwealth Bank (CB) series on Sunday, 24th February 2008, in the day/night match against India at Sydney Cricket Ground.
The match is of paramount importance as it will decide whether India or Sri Lanka will qualify for the finals of the Commonwealth Bank series.
Australia, who have already booked their place in the finals, are on 22 points. India have 13 points and Sri Lanka are on 6 points.
India has made two changes, with Virender Sehwag, who has recovered from a hip strain, and Sreesanth coming in for Praveen Kumar and Munaf Patel, who has food poisoning.
