World Champion Australia won the toss and invited host West Indies to bat first in the 3rd ODI at National Cricket Stadium, St George's, Grenada, on Sunday, 29th June, 2008. Australia leading the 5 match ODI series by 2-0.

Andrew Symonds returned to Australia's line-up in place of Cameron White as the only change for Australia as they sought a third victory to take the series.

West Indies made 3 changes in their team which lost the 2nd match at the same venue on Friday, Ramnaresh Sarwan was still not 100%, replaced the top order batsman Kieron Pollard, Denesh Ramdin took back the gloves from Patrick Browne and Jerome Taylor make way for Fidel Edwards.
