India beat Pakistan by 140 runs in 2nd ODI of Kitply Cup
A fantastic opening partnership of 155 runs between Virendar Sehwag and Gautam Gambhir, set up the Indian victory of 140 runs over arch rivals Pakistan in the 2nd day-night game of Kitply Cup Tri-Series, at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, on Tuesday, 10th June 2008.
India won the toss and elected to bat first, scored a huge total 330/8 in 50 overs, thanks to fine opening partnership, the second best for India against Pakistan , by Virendar Sehwag, Gautam Gambhir and Yuraj Singh contributed 89, 62 and 55 runs respectively.
In reply, Pakistan reduced to 26/3 in the start off the inning as Praveen Kumar took 4 starting wickets. Piyush Chawla also took 4 wickets, reduced Pakistan to 190 runs all out in 35.4 overs. Only captain Shoaib Mailk scored half century, with 53 runs.
