Kitply Cup 1st Match Result - Pakistan beat Bangladesh by 70 runs


In the opening match of the Kitply Cup, Pakistan beat host Bangladesh by 70-run victory, their 12th straight win equalling the joint second-longest ODI streak at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, on Sunday, 8th June 2008.

In a 40 over match after rain, half-centuries from Salman Butt and Mohammad Yousuf, 70 and 59 runs respectively took Pakistan to a commanding 233.

In reply, Bangladesh managed only 163 for 8 in their allotted overs, Mohammad Ashraful made a fighting, unbeaten 56. Wahab Riaz and Shahid Afridi took three wickets each.
