On the 1st day of the 3rd and final test match, West Indies put a brilliant performance with the ball and restricted Australia to 226/7 at the stump of day 1, at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados, on Thursday, 12th June, 2008.

West Indian captain Chris Gayle won the toss and invite Australia to bat first, reduced Australia to 111/5 at one stage as Bravo took 3 wickets.

But another counterattacking half-century (52) from Andrew Symonds ensured the match was relatively evenly poised when rain forced an early finish to the first day. Australia reached 226 for 7, with Beau Casson on 6 and Brett Lee on 7.
